Bridging Korea and the Heartland: Highlights from the KBN & KEI Business Roundtable

The Kansas City Korean Business Network (KBN) had the honor of participating in a special business roundtable with a delegation from the Korea Economic Institute of America (KEI), hosted by the International Relations Council.
We were also honored to welcome representatives from the U.S. Department of State and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea. Their participation made the conversation especially meaningful and reflected the importance of strengthening economic and diplomatic connections between Korea, the United States, and the Kansas City region.
Our discussion focused on Kansas City’s growing business environment and the opportunities created by increasing Korean investment in the United States. We explored how Kansas City can attract and support more Korean companies, as well as how Korean-owned and Korean-connected businesses already in the region can grow through stronger partnerships, shared resources, and collaboration with the broader business community.
This gathering was particularly significant because it provided an official forum for KBN to represent the Korean business community in Kansas City. It marked an important step toward building stronger economic, cultural, and professional relationships between Korea and our region.
Kansas City is a city with tremendous opportunity and potential. Following its successful hosting of the World Cup, our city is receiving greater attention from investors, companies, and leaders around the world. As Kansas City grows stronger, our Korean business community will grow stronger with it.
KBN is proud to serve as a bridge connecting Korean companies, government and community leaders, local businesses, and the greater Kansas City community. Together, we can create new opportunities, build lasting partnerships, and contribute to the continued growth of our region.
